Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how Ink Stroke Tattoos uses them, and how you can control your preferences. We comply with the EU ePrivacy Directive and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They help websites function properly, remember your preferences, analyse traffic, and enhance your overall browsing experience. We also use similar technologies such as web beacons, pixel tags, and local storage where appropriate.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

We only use strictly necessary and functional cookies/storage. We do not use analytics, advertising, profiling or third-party tracking cookies on this website.

Strictly Necessary Cookies / Storage

Required for the website to function correctly and cannot be disabled. They enable core features such as authentication for the staff area, security, and remembering your cookie consent choices. Without them, the website may not operate as intended. These do not require consent under the EU ePrivacy Directive.

Functional Cookies / Storage

Remember non-essential preferences such as your chosen interface language, the open/closed state of the dashboard sidebar, and the speech-input language used by the staff notes tool. They improve usability but are not essential for the website to load.

Analytics Cookies — not used

We currently do not use any analytics cookies, scripts or pixels (no Google Analytics, no Matomo, no Plausible, no Meta/Facebook Pixel, no Hotjar, no Microsoft Clarity, etc.). No visitor measurement, profiling or behavioural tracking is performed. If we ever introduce an analytics tool, it will only run after you give explicit consent through the cookie banner, and this policy and the cookie table will be updated accordingly.

Marketing / Advertising Cookies — not used

We currently do not use any marketing, advertising, retargeting or social-media tracking cookies. No third-party advertising pixels or social plugins are embedded. If this changes, they will only be activated after your explicit consent, and the cookie table below will be updated.

No analytics, advertising, social-media or third-party tracking cookies are currently set by this website. If we ever add services such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, embedded maps, video players or social media widgets, this table will be updated and those cookies will only be activated after you give explicit consent through the cookie banner.

4. Retention Periods

The lifespan of a cookie depends on its purpose:

  • Session cookies are temporary and are deleted automatically when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period necessary to fulfil their purpose. They are automatically deleted when they reach their expiration date.

5. Purpose of Cookies

The website currently uses cookies and browser storage only to ensure functionality, security and user preferences. At the time of writing, no analytics cookies, advertising cookies or third-party tracking technologies are used on public pages. If analytics or marketing technologies are introduced in the future, they will only be activated after obtaining your explicit consent through the cookie banner, and this Cookie Policy will be updated accordingly.

6. Consent Management

When you first visit our website, you will be presented with a cookie consent banner. You have the right to choose how cookies are used:

  • Accept All — accepts all cookie categories that are currently implemented on the website. At present, no analytics or marketing cookies are used on public pages.
  • Reject Non-Essential — allows only strictly necessary cookies; functional, analytics and marketing cookies remain disabled.
  • Customize Preferences — choose which categories you wish to enable or disable individually.

Note: at present we only set strictly necessary and functional cookies. Analytics and marketing categories exist in the banner so that consent is correctly captured if such technologies are introduced in the future; until then, those categories load nothing regardless of your choice.

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by clicking the "Cookie Settings" link in the website footer or using the button below. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

7. Browser Controls

You can also manage or delete cookies through your web browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies stored on your device. Please note that disabling certain cookies, particularly strictly necessary cookies, may affect the functionality of our website and prevent some features from working correctly.

Guidance for major browsers:

8. Third-Party Cookies

We do not currently use any third-party cookies or third-party tracking technologies on public pages (no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, embedded maps, video players, social media widgets or advertising networks). If we ever introduce such services, they will only be activated after obtaining your valid, explicit consent through the cookie banner, this policy will be updated to list them, and you will be able to withdraw consent at any time.

10. Policy Updates

This Cookie Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, legal requirements, or our business practices. The latest version will always be available on this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we use cookies.
